Hello, it's nice to meet you.

Rachel Fitzgerald

Rachel started her career in animal welfare more than 16 years ago and has had the opportunity to both work and volunteer across the United States, and internationally, with several rescue organizations.

She is currently employed as an Advanced Rescue Responder on the Global Animal Rescue Team of a national animal welfare organization. She is internationally certified in animal rescue and disaster response and enjoys being able to help animals in both natural and man-made disasters. When asked about the favorite animal she's worked with she said, "I've had the opportunity to work with so many amazing animals: wildlife, domestic, farm and exotic animals. I cherish my memories of working with kangaroos, primates, several African species, learning how to speak tiger, and I can't forget a special pair of Bahamian pigs that stole my heart.

Of course, dogs will always be my first love, their ability to overcome some of the worst conditions imaginable is truly inspiring." Rachel and her husband Dusty share their home with Waylon a former street dog, Mr. P. Nut and Midge both puppymill survivors, and a cat named Stewie rescued a large-scale hoarding case.
