Community Spay Neuter Assistance Planning

Help Us Expand Spay & Neuter Support in Our Community

Access to affordable spay and neuter services plays a critical role in preventing unwanted litters, reducing the number of animals entering shelters, and keeping pets healthy and in their homes. With the closure of local programs that once helped support these services, many pet owners in our community now have fewer options when it comes to getting their animals spayed or neutered.

At the Humane Society of Barron County, we have been exploring ways we might step in to help fill this gap and support pet owners who want to do the right thing for their animals. However, programs like this require significant financial resources, partnerships, and ongoing community support to be successful.

We believe this is something our community can accomplish together—but we can’t do it alone.

As we begin exploring what a spay and neuter assistance program could look like, we’re hoping to get a sense of how much interest and support exists in our community. Whether you’re someone who would like to support it through donations, volunteer, or simply stay informed, we would love to hear from you.
