Hello

Do you have a group that wants to volunteer together? Are you interested in helping with a special project, event, or one-time opportunity?

We love welcoming groups and individuals who want to share their skills, talents, and energy with the shelter. Whether you are part of a business team, school group, community organization, or simply looking to lend a hand for a specific need, we would be excited to work with you.

Special Project, Groups, or One-Time Volunteers

We are proud to operate as a Fear Free Shelter. This means that all staff and volunteers who interact with animals are required to complete Fear Free Shelter Certification before working directly with the animals in our care. This training is completed through an online course that typically takes five to six hours to finish. The certification helps ensure that every interaction with animals is focused on reducing stress, increasing comfort, and supporting their emotional wellbeing while they are with us.

We know that this process often isn't feasible for folks looking to assist with a one-time project, or volunteer as a group; don't worry we have plenty of opportunities to get involved that don't require direct animal care or contact.

Individuals or groups who are volunteering for a one-time project or event and do not wish to complete the full onboarding process, and will not have direct interaction with the animals in our care can often be fast-tracked through the volunteer onboarding process.
