Featuring Nate Abshire!

Nate Abshire started performing comedy in 2009 - what will be called 'the before time,' after the global economic collapse. The following year, he finished runner-up in the “Funniest Person in the Twin Cities” contest. In 2012 he entered the Seattle International Comedy Competition and made it to the semifinals. A year later, Nate performed at Laughfest in their “Best of the Midwest” contest finishing runner-up, and by this point, became very tired of losing comedy contests. He gave it another try in 2014 on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," but again did not win. Since then he's opened for some of the best comics working today, whose names you would be impressed by hearing AND finally won a comedy contest in 2020 - The Coast to Coast Roast. Then he released his debut, award-winning album on 800lb Gorilla Records in 2021. It's called "Coming in Hot" and is quite good, honestly. Audiences love his sardonic wit, keen writing, playful stage presence. Nate currently lives in Minneapolis with his cat.

And Ellie Hino!

Ellie Hino is a Minneapolis based stand-up comic with a heart of gold. She appeared in the 2019 and 2021 Limestone Comedy Festivals, Boston’s Women in Comedy festival, and was featured in “best of the fest” at 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival. Recently, she’s been lucky enough to feature for Maria Bamford, Atsuko Okatsuka, Dana Gould and Bobcat Goldthwait.

Ellie is a super fun mom, a mediocre wife, and an all around delight. Her comedy is silly and honest, sometimes focusing on the naked truths of married life and motherhood. Yeah, she lives in the suburbs now, but she’s like, still cool.
