Special Event Volunteers

Want to get involved but love being out and about? Volunteering at special events with HSBC might be the perfect fit! πŸŽ‰πŸΎ

Our event volunteers help us shine in the community—supporting fundraising events, adoption events, humane education opportunities, and other public-facing appearances where HSVC is represented. These roles are all about connecting with people, sharing our mission, and helping animals find the homes and support they deserve.

If you enjoy meeting new people, talking about animals, and being part of a fun, energetic environment, this is a great way to make an impact!

Interested in representing HSBC out in the community? Our special events volunteers play a key role in helping us connect with the public through fundraising events, adoption events, humane education opportunities, and more. These are fun, high-energy opportunities to share our mission and make a real impact for the animals we serve. πŸΎπŸ’›

Because these roles involve representing HSBC in a public-facing capacity, volunteers must either be actively involved in a planning committee for the event or be a current, active shelter volunteer in good standing in order to participate. This helps ensure that everyone representing HSBC feels confident, informed, and prepared to engage with the public.

Additionally, any event that involves—or may involve—direct interaction or handling of animals requires volunteers to be fully onboarded and to have completed Fear Free Shelters certification prior to the event. The safety and wellbeing of both our animals and our volunteers is always our top priority.

If this sounds like a great fit for you, we’d love to help you get started on your volunteer journey!
